Dramaturg & Reader
Dramaturg
I have arrived to talking comfortably about dramatury rather late. Before I had a word to pull the ideas all together, having a strong dramatrugy to a piece of work was at the core of my creative practice.
It is essential that the aims and goals of a work can be experience by the audience members, that as dramaturg Oliva Vong says, the foundations of a work are strong. That any inconsistencies are there deliberately, to provoke or provide a challenge.
Reader /proof reader/ script reader / novel beta reader / masters & PHD thesis reader / ideas bouncer / question asker
Script reader and feedback
When I was the Co-Curator of Candlewasters, I spent a year providing both in person and written feedback on new writing scripts.
From that time onwards I have always been happy to read peoples new work, and provide my thoughts on it.
For more information on my writing workshops check out the education section.
Novel reader
I have provided beta reading for a couple of novels. For some, reading chapter by chapter, and for some reading the full novel before providing feedback.
ACADEMIC feedback
I have provided proof reading, sense following and argument tracking, at masters and PHD level. As well as some academic blog posts.
For more information on my academic writing proof reading and feedback have a look at the writing section.
